Reno Contracting announced today it is working on site modifications at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina in downtown San Diego on behalf of Host Hotels and Resorts. The work includes new pedestrian walkways and ramps for compliance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements. Mark Allan & Associates, LLC is the construction manager, CS Architects is the architect, and MK Engineering group is the engineer for the project.
Reno Contracting previously worked with the client on projects at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina. The current project, which began the end of October and is near completion, is being conducted on-site at Harbor Island Drive while the hotel remains open for business.
“Having worked with both Host Hotels and Resorts and Mark Allan & Associates in the past, we are excited to be the General Contractor on this new project,” said Walt Fegley, Reno Contracting President, “It is a great team to work with.” Reno’s Danielle Slagal is Project Manager and Vince Gorman is Project Superintendent.
Property enhancements include: a re-design of a 2,000 square foot terrace outside the Bay Tower Lounge steps from San Diego Bay, a new entrance drive at the Bay Tower and new walkways to the Bay View Lawn and Pavilion function spaces.
