Reno Contracting, Inc. is proud to announce the promotion of Rick Laferney to Vice President of Operations. Rick will be responsible for the coordination of project staffing throughout all phases of construction, oversight of project management staff, and executive direction of Reno’s construction phase projects, including compliance with applicable technical standards and requirements. The position was previously held by Terry Loose, who retired at the end of November after more than 20 years at Reno. In his new position, Rick will work hand-in-hand with General Superintendent Steve Meister and report directly to Walt Fegley, President.
Rick started working for Reno as a Senior Project Manager in 2006 and holds accreditations with the Design-Build Institute of America and the U.S. Green Building Council. During his tenure, Rick has successfully managed various high-rise, mid-rise, multi-family, hospitality, and class ‘A’ office buildings, including some of Reno’s largest and most prominent projects. Succeeding his studies at Western Michigan University and San Diego State University, Rick has been active in the construction industry for more than three decades and has managed more than $950,000,000 of work. His vast construction knowledge, advanced leadership skills, and diverse project resume afford Rick the experience and technical expertise to serve on Reno’s executive leadership team.
