We have been active and we should all be proud. Reno has been hosting fundraising golf tournaments the last 10 years for the Warrior Foundation; the construction of the 9/11 Memorial donated and built at USD; the large American flag which is seen on all Reno buildings under construction; the “We Remember” banner on our buildings under construction on every September after the horrific events in 2001. Reno has committed to fundraising and raffles for the Navy Seals; support of the Navy League and Navy League of Women; the AGC Backpacks for Warriors – providing necessary supplies to those warriors arriving from war for medical care wearing the uniform that they were wounded in, having nothing more.
Those of you at the golf tournament this year heard the heartfelt story from the director of the Warrior Foundation about Reno buying plane tickets for all the wounded warriors at Balboa Hospital to make sure they were able to spend the holidays with their families at a time when they had no means to make it happen themselves. Others will remember how Terry presented a Reno check to our office neighbors across the parking lot last month when they hosted a charity BBQ, offering to match all proceeds to support a wounded veteran. Reno’s contribution made sure the deserving veteran received as much support as needed. These are just a few instances of how Reno has committed itself to supporting the forces that support us.
We are not alone in our commitment. We are part of a great industry of generous and patriotic contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants and developers who have contributed and joined us and others all along the way. The contribution of so many has been so significant.
We are very proud to be part of this great industry, we are proud to be Reno Contracting and we are proud to be American.
This 4th of July we fly our American flag high and filled with pride. We gratefully recognize our freedom and our country as we enjoy time with our friends and our families.
We hope that you have a Great Fourth of July – Independence Day!
