Another Award Winning Year for Reno Contracting!

Reno-Contracting Awards

Adding to their list of over 100 Industry Awards, Reno was a big winner at the Association of General Contractors San Diego 2014 Installation Dinner on January 23, 2014; taking home four awards. Reno was recognized as a leader in safety by nabbing the 1st place Construction Safety Excellence Award, Building Division, 100,001 – 250,000 work hours.

In addition to being installed as AGC San Diego’s new Senior Vice President, Reno President and COO, Walt Fegley, was commended for his Outstanding Contribution as Chairman for both the Environmental Stewardship Committee and the Membership Committee.

Fegley is heavily involved in the AGC, previously as Treasurer, now as Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for the past seven years.  He is slated to be Chapter President in 2015.  It’s a great honor to be recognized by his industry peers.

Last but definitely not least, Reno was honored with the Construction Industry Excellence Award in recognition of the high level of integrity and ethics in their business practice, and for going beyond the norm with their commitment to supporting the AGC, the construction industry and the community. “Going up to receive this award was the thrill of a lifetime for me.  I couldn’t stop smiling.  We have worked so hard to make integrity and good business ethics a cornerstone of our company, our culture and our people.  This award is recognizing each and every one of them.  It is one thing to have incredibly talented construction professionals, which we have.  But I am most proud of who our people are; people of impeccable character that go the extra mile for clients, subcontractors and everyone in between.  I am so proud of our people and our company; it is an honor to receive such an award.”

AGC of America is the nation’s largest and oldest construction trade association. The association is dedicated to improving the construction industry by employing the finest skills, promoting the latest technology and advocating building the best quality projects for public and private owners.  The San Diego Chapter is the sixth largest in the country and has over 1,000 member companies.
